What are botnets and Cybercriminal gangs? Rapid increase in World Wide Web crime and malware attacks Posted: 01 Apr 2012 06:09 AM PDT   Before we begin to present the research I will give you a different definition and concepts related to / the botnet (s):  Botnets are malware attacks from many different entities on the Internet, usually located in different places.  The term "botnet" essentially means a group of bots, ie computers that are unknowingly infected (zombie computers) and software which runs according to the requirements of head malware (leaders, drain group) which is installed on computers of users unknowingly, due to security holes in browser (vulnerabilities).

300 large Web sites became victims from a new botnet Posted: 01 Apr 2012 03:49 AM PDT   According to security researchers, more than 300 Web sites have been affected by infected computers that are part of the Pushdo botnet   According to research conducted by the Shadowserver Foundation, Twitter, Paypal and FBI are victims of this new botnet, although it seems the attacks are designed to make the sites offline.
